Course Drinks
Servings 1.5 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Combine sugar and water: Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Dissolve: Stir occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves and the mixture is clear, about 3–5 minutes. It doesn't need to boil.
  • Cool: Remove from heat and let cool completely to room temperature before using or storing.
  • Store: Pour into a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Keeps in the fridge for up to a month in a sealed jar or bottle. For a flavored twist, steep mint, basil, or citrus peel in the syrup while it cools, then strain before using.
